Imagine meeting someone for a five-minute conversation and they come across positively,what we start to do is subconscious notice other positive things to add to that first impression which backs up our intuition. And conversely, if we had a bad first impression of someone we then subconsciously take notice of other negative things to add to that first impression.

So what are those seven decisions about others that we make in the first seven seconds?

• Are they friendly- approachable? What they are wearing, colour choices and style of your outfit.
• Are they confident? Others will notice your posture, how you shake hands and eye contact.
• Others will observe the style of your clothing, posture, and the state of your shoes.
• Are they intelligent? makeup, glasses and cleavage (can be questionable morals – lower intelligence)
• Are they trustworthy? The fit of your clothing , eye contact, and your handshake.
• Are they credible? Eye contact,handshake, posture and makeup.
• Are they promiscuous? too much makeup  and maybe visible tattoos and cleavage.

All of these seven decisions will be formulated from how you dress, speak, act and behave. So think about the first impression you make on others.

You only have one chance to make a great first impression. Don’t throw away that valuable opportunity.
