OP SHOPPING!
Experience the thrill of finding that one off piece and it costing next to nothing!!
Tips for Successful Op Shopping:
1. Find a directory of your local stores that stock quality clean 2nd hand fashion. Look for designer labels at the fraction of their original cost. Buying quality means that if you decide not to wear it later you can resell it and get your money back.
2. Look online, in magazines and window shop in your regular retail stores to see what’s in fashion as you don’t want to purchase garments that are ‘so last year’. You could look for vintage fashion to give you an edge – clothes that have come around again full circle.
3. Scarves are great way to give an outfit life and colour, have fun sorting through the many that are in baskets and bins.
4. Be picky. Just because it’s $5 doesn’t mean it’s a bargain if you have nothing to wear it with. It will just add clutter in your wardrobe.
5. Its probably better to go op shopping with an open mind rather than looking for a certain look or article. That way you’ll find the least expected piece. My favourite store is categorised into garment pieces, tops, bottoms, jackets the colour… a dream if you have had your Colours done as it saves a lot of time especially in the larger stores.
6. I find the weekends are great for shopping as most of us have time to rummage and we don’t make bad decisions…shop when you have time to sort through the racks.
7. Always check the quality and that there are no stains, tears, or holes unless it can be easily mended or cleaned.
Just have fun!!
